The familiar top watch brand Breitling was founded in 1884, and the Breitling watches have focused on the professional functions and precise chronograph.

Based on the sturdy and reliable basic movements and parts, the watches can not only offer stable performance, but also durable feature. Thanks to the great improvement of the watches, the first independent chronograph watches were invented in 1915, the first watches with separated chronograph and zeroization functions were created in 1923, and the first watches with dual independent chronograph button were designed in 1934 to lay the foundation of classic appearance.

In particular, Breitling also manufactured the manufacture self-winding movements to lead the watches into the new era. Cooperating with other three companies, including Dpraz &Cie that was the supplier of watch parts, Bren that is the manufacturer of the movements, and Heuer-Leonidas that is the watch manufacturer, Breitling successfully developed the self-winding mechanical movements, which made an unprecedented breakthrough.

In 1969, the Breitling Chrono-Matic watches were equipped with Caliber 11, the self-winding movement, which realized the self-winding dream for the watches. Then after continuous research and development, Calibre 01 was designed, which passed the final test of COSC for high accuracy and reliability.
